Miss Avery's Bookends

A project for my niece/goddaughter, these are for her baby books. I had a set that looked just like this from when I was a child, but I painted them green and gave them to her older sister. When she was born, I had promised my brother another set.

These were a joint effort between my husband and I. They are composed each from a thick heart piece, thin heart wood piece, and a long wooden piece that was cut in half, screwed together, and then painted. All supplies came from Michael's (coupons rock!)

I can't say that they will hold up too much weight, but they have a few books that they want to display up and away from her fingers, so they will hold that up.
